Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is US legislation designed to provide privacy standards to protect patients' medical records and other health information provided to health plans, doctors, hospitals and other health care providers. 

In an effort to protect Cope Plastics and its employees, a HIPAA training course is required for Cope employees who work with or are privy to sensitive employee health information. (This course is required every two years).
